Apparently, they divide phone numbers among various charity lottery groups and follow some rules set by a marketing company named AMVOC. They say they only call between 9am and 6pm from Monday to Saturday, no more than two calls per number. Also, they claim to respect the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) so they’re not meant to be pestering people who’ve opted out. AMVOC even have a team checking call quality and they train their agents regularly to be polite and professional.
