Apparently, they dish out numbers for batches linked to charity lotteries and they have guidelines provided by a marketing outfit known as AMVOC. Here’s a bit of the details: Their phone numbers were last refreshed on the 27th of October, 2021. They tend to ring from Monday through Saturday, and the hours stick to 9 in the morning until 6 in the evening. Each number gets a maximum of two calls. All their calls are vetted via the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). AMVOC boasts a Quality Assurance Team that keeps an eye on the calls being made. As for the call agents, they receive ongoing training from AMVOC to maintain a top-notch customer service level. Curiously enough, I stumbled upon another number in Milton Keynes that was almost identical-just one digit off. The number is 01908049762, with the last digit being a 2 instead of a 1. Quite peculiar if you ask me! It makes me wonder if they’re connected in some way. If that’s the case, they’re not very proficient at their job; it took them ages to respond, which you’d think would be instantaneous if they were trying to ensure I stayed on the line. By the way, the other number has been quite persistent, having called me a staggering eight times now! As I pen this on the 13th of December, the initial call came on the 11th of November.
