Received a rather odd phone call, seemingly from a mobile number. I had an inkling it might be a sales pitch or some sort of scam. I made it quite clear to the caller that they should refrain from ringing me again if it was about sales. Up to now, I haven't heard back from them.

I ought to mention that the person on the other end was completely mute, almost as if they were grappling with what to say while clutching their phone. There was a bit of shuffling noise in the background too...

I’ve traced this number back to a firm based in Bognor Regis, which is operated by a 28-year-old chap named William Pye. He seems to be sourcing inexpensive call blocker gadgets from China at around a fiver each, then duping elderly folks into purchasing a so-called "premium call blocking service" for a hefty £90, claiming it will eliminate every single nuisance call. Quite the scam, if you ask me!
