Someone rang me saying they were from the national lottery or something, telling me I’d won free tickets. Then they wanted my sort code to set up a direct debit if I signed up. When I asked what it was about and they pushed for my sort code, I got suspicious and told them no thanks. Pretty sure it was just a scam. The call came through from York, England, if that helps.

Somebody called me saying I'd won extra free tickets for a £5 million lottery, sounded alright at first. Then they started telling me I could buy lottery tickets for 5p each and get a bunch of free ones for three months, but it had to be done that day as a special offer. I told them I was busy at work and couldn’t make any decisions then, so they promised to call me back on Monday. Sounds fishy to me, bit of a one-day-only scam if you ask me.

Got a call from a robo number today. After looking it up, turns out they’re checking if the phone’s actually in use when you pick up. If so, they mark it as active and sometimes sell the number to telemarketers. Proper annoying, so I blocked it straight away.
