Honestly, this has all the signs of a total scam to me.

Just like others have said, it was a home improvement firm calling me. I’m honestly baffled how they managed to get past my “Call Guardian” system - that thing’s meant to make callers identify themselves before I get a say in accepting or blocking the call. They must be real tech experts or scammers or something to get round it like that.

I rarely pick up if I don’t know a number, so I just let voicemail handle it. Usually, scam calls drop off right when the answering machine kicks in. Checked this number on here after a quick search, and with all the warnings, I’ve gone ahead and blocked it.

So this lady called claiming she was with some home improvement firm, maybe called Trusted Properties or something like that, asking if I’d heard about a private scheme for home upgrades. She said she had four quick questions to check if I qualified, first asking if I owned the property - I said no. Then she asked if I actually lived in my postcode, I told her no again and suggested she’d dialled the wrong number. After that, she asked if I was someone by my name, which I denied, and she sounded a bit puzzled, then said sorry and ended the call. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

Got a call this morning from someone claiming to be with a "home improvement company." Told them to stop ringing since I'm on the TPS list, then ended the call and blocked the number. Later on, a different but close number called, same excuse about home improvements. The woman asked how I was, and I told her I was furious because they'd already called me earlier and I told them not to bother ringing back. She just hung up, so I blocked that one too.

On 1st Jan 2020 at 10:12, I got a call from 01904 897 323 which is a York number. It felt like they were harassing me! Later, at about 1:55pm, another call came from 01382 250 905, which I found out is in Dundee. That one seemed dodgy, maybe dangerous. I unplugged the phone and used 1471 to check calls. I’m thinking these numbers might be connected somehow. Definitely seems like a scam to me!

Been getting calls from this number loads recently but no one ever picks up. Just ends up with that recorded voice saying no one’s around. Feels like they’re just bothering me.

For months now, this number’s been ringing me non-stop. I finally picked up today, but all I got was the sound of the call being dropped straight away. It feels like just outright harassment. It’s so annoying not having any peace and having to keep checking who’s ringing only to see the same unfamiliar number every time.
