When I picked up the phone, the voice on the other end had an Asian accent. They seemed to know my entire name and asserted that they were ringing on behalf of UK Benefits, stating they just needed to ask me a couple of straightforward questions.

Got a call out of the blue and it was like someone had accidentally left their phone near their mates - loads of background chat and noise, but no actual voice message left on my answerphone.

I got a call from an Asian guy who asked if he could talk to Mr (my name). He claimed he was with the benefits agency and wanted to ask me some questions. Felt like a total scam to me, so I just ended the call straight away.

When I picked up, there was loads of background noise like from an office. The bloke on the line had an Asian accent and somehow got my name wrong. I asked him who he was but he didn’t get it and instead asked for my name. I tried once more to find out who he was, but he just repeated the same question back at me. That’s when I told him to bugger off.

I answered this number and they just cut off right away, seems like it’s probably another annoying scam or some company bothering people.

This is the first time I’ve had this happen today, but I’m sure it won’t be the last. Honestly, why doesn’t BT step in and sort this out? If they don’t do anything, they’re kind of letting this mess and potential scam slide.

Got a call from someone with an asian accent claiming to be from UK benefits, said they needed to ask me just three questions. I wasn’t having any of it, so I just said no cheers and ended the call.

I've got call guardian set up and this number popped up in the blocked list since they refused to tell me who they were when I asked. Seems like another dodgy spammer to me, a proper caller would just give their name straight away. This number called me 19 times across yesterday and today. Anyone got a clue who this might be? K41

The moment I picked up, the call just ended immediately. Not sure if it was some automated thing or maybe there was no one there to talk to me. Either way, seems like it was probably just a pesky nuisance call.
