I was using my home phone when this number rang, I was waiting for a call so told my mate to hold on for a sec, the guy said he was calling from RedStar and asked if it was a good moment. I told him no, I was already talking to someone else, he then called me a liar and said if I was on another call I wouldn’t have answered at all, questioning why I was avoiding him. The bloke refused to divulge the name of the company, insisting his name was John. At that point, I decided to terminate the conversation.

CLAIMED TO BE FROM RED STAR IN MANCHESTER BUT THE PHONE NUMBER WAS ACTUALLY BASED IN YORK. SAID I HAD A MBNA CREDIT CARD FROM 2009 - WHICH IS NOT TRUE AT ALL! WHEN I SAID I WOULDN'T GIVE ANY DETAILS OVER THE PHONE, THE CALLER JUST HUNG UP.

I rang the number after getting loads of missed calls, a lady picked up. I asked for the manager but she said she was a senior person. She acted rude and kept insisting on personal info about my partner’s mum. I said I’d be reporting it to the police, then she started getting threatening and just cut me off.

These lot are from some insurance claim outfit. Whenever I hire a car from Enterprise, they keep ringing me nonstop. Looks like that company must be passing on customers’ info to them or summat. I’ve been blocking their numbers, but it’s always a new one every single day. After a bit they stopped for a while. Then the minute I rented a car again, I got three calls in one day. They’re proper rude too - the moment you say the accident details they’re giving are wrong, they just hang up on you. Such poor manners.

I had a rather unpleasant experience with the operator on the other end. He was quite disrespectful, repeatedly addressing me by my first name, which felt rather off-putting. When I asked for clarification on which company was calling, he abruptly hung up on me. Naturally, I felt quite enraged and tried to call back. I was promised that I would be connected to another operator, but lo and behold, I found myself speaking to the same chap once more! He stubbornly refused to disclose the name of the company he was representing and, surprisingly, ended the call again. I'm left wondering, who on earth are these individuals?

A bloke called claiming to be from RedStar and asked if they were speaking to me, mentioned MBNA, Capital One and another finance firm I couldn't catch properly. I told him I've never taken out credit like that. He kept asking if I was sure. I said definitely. Later I looked online and couldn't find any finance company called RedStar in York, even though the number had the York area code.

They’ve called me around 7 times in the past day. One time when I was caught up with something, I asked if it was urgent. She said it was really important and then started talking about insurance. The lady this morning was super rude and just hung up on me. I would never buy anything from them. Had a few missed calls after that and then just silence. These lot are really impolite!
