I received a call from someone claiming that I had BT's television breakdown cover, which they said had lapsed and would now cost me £90 to renew, down from £120. The thing is, I've never taken out any such cover with BT in the first place. It seems like a right scam to me!

This number has buzzed my phone twice today. The first call had someone rambling on about the sky, which I found utterly baffling, so I kindly told them I wasn't keen and hung up. The second time round, they were silent as a mouse, so I swiftly ended that call too. What a palaver!
