My mum got a call from this number, but the caller never said who they were. They just asked her to confirm her name, which she did, then they ended the call right away. When I rang the number back, a recorded voice with an American or Canadian tone told me to hold for the next operator, then another voice just said "goodbye" and the line cut off. Feels like a sneaky trick to gather info from people who might be easy targets. Really hope someone sorts this out quickly.

I keep getting these calls that just go silent and then the person hangs up after a few seconds. It’s super annoying, especially since I'm on the TPS and my number is ex-directory.

got a call from someone claiming to work for a health care firm, but when i called back there was an auto answer then it just cut off. felt a bit dodgy to me.

got a call from some number, they kept asking who i was but i didnt say anything so they just ended the call. weird!

They rang me again claiming my washing machine insurance had expired. Thing is, my machine’s really old and the company that made it doesn’t exist anymore. I told them straight up it was a scam and I didn’t have any insurance with them. I tried ringing the number back, it picked up but just kept me waiting before hanging up. I reckon some folks might get fooled by these calls.

They managed to get me to say my name and house name, which I guess they already had, then just ended the call!

somebody rang me saying they were from a local insurance firm and wanted to extend the warranty on my washing machine. ive had this machine for ages, way past the warranty period. when i asked where they got my number from, they said it was from the maker. then when I pressed them on which company, they said hoover, but that isn’t true at all.
