This guy was spot on the usual script, all polite and cheerful but clearly after my bank info. When I asked about the appliance’s age and brand, he totally froze and just threw out “10 years” to cover up, even though the unit’s barely 2 months old. If you’re unsure, just don’t bother and end the call straight away.

Got a call from someone named ‘callum’ asking me to confirm my address and full name. Same as loads of others, he was trying to sell me a washing machine warranty renewal. I just told him ‘no thanks’ and blocked the number. Honestly, what’s the point of signing up to the telephone preference service when I keep getting bombarded? That's the fifth dodgy call I’ve had today!

So this number rang me but no one said anything, just hung up. It looked legit so I called back and I got a voicemail for a bit then they cut me off. Bit odd if you ask me.

I got a call from a guy on a landline who said his name was Richard Lancaster, said he was from some domestic home care. He was talking about my washing machine warranty, telling me I’d been overcharged by my current provider. Then he asked for the expiry date on my debit card, but I didn’t give it. After that, he just hung up. He also mentioned an engineer call out number, it was 012 7328 6355. Felt a bit dodgy if you ask me.
