On 2nd October, the day Monarch Airlines went into liquidation, I spent over 45 minutes on the phone waiting for someone to pick up, only to get charged more than £5 for the call without actually speaking to anyone. I was trying to get information about my Monarch flights booked through Love Holidays. I had already attempted to reach them online but, as you'd expect, the site was swamped with loads of people in the same boat. Eventually, I managed to get in touch online, but by then I'd already had to pay over £200 extra for replacement flights compared to what I originally paid for Monarch.
