Got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent who gave his name as John. He went on about some home installation and upgrades, saying I'd be eligible since I’m a homeowner. But the moment I told him I’m actually renting, he just hung up on me. Seems like they’re just fishing for info and nothing more. Proper scam if you ask me.

Got a weird call from someone who kept asking about an old name that isn’t even mine. They refused to tell me their identity, which felt really dodgy.

Got a call from someone who had a really hard to place accent, maybe Asian? Said his name was Paul or something like that. Didn’t bother listening much longer, ended the call and blocked the number pronto.

The number showed it was from Wolverhampton, so I picked up, but the person calling had an accent that seemed a bit American or Asian. I told her I was the decorator, hoping that would sort it out. He didn’t mention any company, but the phrases he used sounded a lot like three other calls I had just in the last couple of weeks. I’ve blocked the number and put in a report to the TPS since I’m on their register. It feels like harassment to me, since businesses in the UK really shouldn’t be cold calling my phone like that.
