Every evening between 5 and 6, I get this recorded call on my landline. I can’t see who’s calling because I don’t have caller ID, so I just have to deal with it. I’m on the TPS register, but it doesn’t seem to stop these annoying calls at all.

Like loads of others have said, the TPS does nothing at all. Even though my number’s ex-directory, I still get loads of annoying calls. Honestly, I don’t know what I’d do without caller ID and this site to help me figure out who it is!

I picked up and there was just silence, nobody said a word.

Typical scam call again, you'd think they'd realise by now we ain't falling for it.

Picked up this call and not a word from the other side, just dead silence. Pretty weird and a bit unnerving, to be honest.

Got a really nasty call from some Asian bloke who swore at me after I asked him to remove my number. I'm registered with TPS, so you'd think they'd respect that. He claimed he was 'Alan' from some fake claims company (though I reckon Alan was just a front - more like Mohammed or Mr Patel). Told him to sort himself out and leave this stupid nonsense alone. These muppets just cycle through phone numbers till someone spots them online, so blocking barely helps. If Ofcom's meant to stop these annoying calls, they're failing big time.
