01902835412 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01902835412 👆 is reported as a persistent scam call claiming to be from BT or BT Openreach, warning people that their internet or IP address is compromised. Callers often use varied accents, including female voices with East Asian intonation or American accents, and try to pressure recipients into giving remote access or bank details. Several note attempts to avoid verifying their identity properly and provide nonsense ID numbers. Calls frequently come very early, even before the legal start time for legitimate call centres, and drop off if challenged or refused information. Some suspects detect background noise suggesting a call centre, yet notice no change when calls are supposedly transferred. Many users confirm this is a fraudulent attempt to steal money or data.

Someone rang up saying they were from BT and claimed our phone line had been hacked or something. Complete con job. They wanted personal details, of course, but when I asked for proof they said they weren’t allowed to share it ‘cause it’s ‘private info’. When I pushed them, they just gave me some random ID number that made no sense. Plus, we don’t even have BT as our provider! Proper scam attempt if you ask me. It puzzles me why the authorities and phone companies don’t crack down harder on these dodgy calls.

Got a call from Wolverhampton on 2nd Nov around 1:20pm, even though I have my number on the do-not-call list. I didn’t pick up since my phone wasn’t showing the number logged, and when I checked the voicemail, there was just a dial tone. Seems a bit suspicious to me.

Got a call just before noon from a lady with an East Asian accent, English wasn't perfect. She said she was with BT and that my internet was hacked, my devices were at risk. Offered to fix it remotely if I gave access and my card details. Nearly told her to take her scam somewhere else and then I hung up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT saying my ip was hacked. I told them I’m not with BT but they insisted all internet goes through BT. Bit fishy if you ask me.

This number rang me early, about 7.30 in the morning. I missed the call and before I could pick up, it stopped ringing. I got a bit worried, thinking it could be something urgent, so I tried to ring back but got no answer - the line was unreachable. Had a look for the number here and saw loads of others had flagged it as suspicious too.

Got a call this morning around 7.30am from someone saying they were with BT/Openreach. They claimed that some foreign individuals were trying to hack our internet and then asked to get into our tablets. It sounded a bit dodgy to me. I could hear background chatter like a call centre, but when the bloke said he’d transfer me to another department, that noise never stopped at all! I thought call centres weren’t allowed to ring before 8am? It all felt a bit off, not entirely sure what to make of it.
