I reckon this was a spam call, as they hung up as soon as I picked up. It seems these dodgy callers dial loads of numbers at once and just wait for someone to pick up, then they end the other lines as if they've dropped out.

I picked up but heard nothing at first. After a moment, the call connected and this bloke kept saying "hello" over and over. I didn’t say a word and after a while he just hung up. Looks like they were trying multiple calls or something.
