Both our landlines rang and when we picked up, there was an automated message saying our internet service might be cut off in a day. The recording then asked us to press certain keys, depending on which internet company we used.

In my experience, the call wasn’t regarding PPI but rather a breach of my internet connection. It’s shocking to witness how these fraudsters continuously adapt their methods.

Got a call a couple of days ago from a number I didn’t recognise, didn’t pick up and they didn’t leave a voicemail or anything.

Got a call with no one speaking on the other end. Quite unsettling!

I’m totally fed up getting those annoying calls about my internet, must be a scam or something.

Just moments ago I had a call like this from someone with an Asian accent claiming my internet had been hacked and used illegally for the past couple of weeks. I pretended to be interested just to keep him talking and waste his time. When he then asked if IT was there, I told him to stop calling because I knew it was a scam. This sort of thing happens way too often but I never fall for it. You’d think they’d give up eventually, but nope, they’re persistent - and so am I, haha!

I received an automated call the other day. It was some sort of message asking if I’d been involved in a car crash. They urged me to press a button...

I got a recorded voice saying my account was about to be shut down and to press 1 to talk to someone. I kinda knew it was dodgy but pressed 1 anyway. The person on the other end then asked for my bank info. I played along a bit but didn’t give anything away, and as soon as I started asking questions, the call just dropped. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

Got three calls from them. I decided to humour them since I was a bit bored, but they ended up cursing at me. What a waste of time!

Got a call from some robot voice saying it was the TalkTalk tech team and that my service would be cut off today if I didn’t press a button. Sounded dodgy to me!

Got a call from an unknown number, and then nearly right after, another one came through from pretty much the same place. No clue who it could be.

Just got a call telling me there’s been some dodgy activity on my internet and that they’re going to cut me off unless I press 1 to chat to someone. Total scam - don’t press anything or try to talk to them. I didn’t say a word, waited a couple of seconds and the call dropped.

I've never had a cold caller as cheeky as this one - they rang my elderly folks and as soon as I picked up, the first thing they wanted was our bank details! When I asked who they were, they just hung up. Honestly, that’s the most ridiculous cold call I’ve come across, jumping straight to asking for financial info!

Got a call from a blocked number, but when I answered, nothing was said - just silence. Weird and a bit annoying.
