I never said a word, just stayed quiet and after a while they just hung up - pretty clear it was one of those call centre calls.

A bloke with a British accent called saying he was from BT, claiming my landline was on some kind of list. I cut him short and told him we don't entertain calls like that, then hung up straight away. Sounded like a scam to me for sure.
