I recently had a rather dodgy encounter with someone claiming to be from Microsoft’s tech support. He told me that my computer was at serious risk of being compromised. As he spun his tale, he offered assistance but then requested remote access to my machine along with my banking information. I reckon this was a scam, as my PC was functioning perfectly well!
