Got a call from some fake phone preference service trying to get my bank info. I kept them talking for about 16 minutes and then they finally hung up. Pretty obvious scam.

Had a couple of calls from this number today and loads before that as well. I got really fed up and shouted at whoever it was, but of course they keep ringing. They claim they can block nuisance calls, but then ask for your card info. Nuisance calls? More like a proper pain in the neck!

Got a call claiming to be from the telephone preference service, supposedly to update my info. Bit ironic, since when I brought up the constant nuisance calls I get, he completely lost interest. Then he asked for details of my debit card that I use to pay my phone bill. I refused, obviously, and he just ended the call. Felt really dodgy to me.

I got calls from this number like 4 times all within about 15 minutes this afternoon, but no voicemail or anything was left. Then later on in the evening, they rang again but no-one answered on my side. Proper annoying and kind of relentless - might have to blow my whistle on them!

A person rang saying they were from the Telephone Preference Service and began asking about how I pay my bills, like if it’s through direct debit. Then they wanted to know if I had a debit card that expired back in 2018. I told them they were obviously a scammer, and they just ended the call straight away.

I'm based in Northern Ireland and got four calls today (11th May 2018) from the same number. They kept ringing at 10:43, 10:48, 11:28, and 11:31. I picked up just the first time, and the person on the line sounded Asian. They asked if we’d been getting lots of nuisance calls. I told them they were actually the nuisance and then ended the call. I ignored the other three afterwards. Thankfully, we've got caller ID so I knew it was the same numbre.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be with BT Call Preference. He asked if I was still bothered by spam calls. I played it cool and said, "No, not really, all sorted now thanks," which seemed to throw him off a bit. After that, he just went with an awkward "Right, thanks, bye" and never really told me who he was. Total scam in my books!

Somebody called me pretending to be from Telephone Preference management, saying they wanted to upgrade my account. When she asked for my postcode, she got it wrong which made me a bit wary. I told her I’d ring back later as I wasn’t comfortable sharing details right then. Still, she pushed me to confirm stuff straight away. I stood my ground and asked her for a callback number. Later, I looked up the number she dialed from, and it’s listed as a scam. Even the number she gave me to call back is flagged as dodgy. Obviously, I’m not ringing them back and have blocked the number.

I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was ringing from the telephone preference service. I've been getting loads of dodgy calls lately, so I told him straight that he wasn’t who he said he was and to stop calling me. Hopefully that sorts it, but knowing my luck, I’m probably in for even more annoying calls now.

I got a call from some place called Telephone Preference Management, no idea who they are really. They said they’d stop all the annoying calls I get, but before that, they asked me to confirm that the debit card tied to my direct debit for the phone bill had an expiry date of 2018. When I asked why they needed that info, they just ended the call. Bit dodgy if you ask me!

Got a call from 01899 333024 at about 1.05pm on 11/5/18, but when I picked up, no one was speaking, so I hung up after a few moments. That area code, I think, is from South Lanarkshire. I tried ringing back, but all I got was a weird message - something like a Chinese-sounding voice saying the number's not in service and to check it again. Seems fishy to me, definitely not legit.

Over the past few days I’ve had loads of calls that just hang up right as my answerphone starts. If it was something urgent, surely they’d wait for the message to play? I’m really hoping they get bored and stop soon because I’ve no clue how to turn the ringer off!

I tried calling the number back but got a recorded message saying the number isn’t active. It’s the same area code as the call I got yesterday. Every time I answer calls from that code, it just goes straight to an answering machine. And I have no clue who anyone in Biggar is.
