For days now, i've been getting constant calls and i've just stopped answering. It's really annoying especially since i work from my home office. Got calls from this number too, 01254 312031, same Asian voices. I told them straight they were scammers and to buzz off, then just hung up. Believe it or not, they rang back from 01899 333021. Both numbers are blocked now, no more messing about!

Got a call at my folks' house from someone saying they were with the Telephone Preference Service. They told them their name and address, then asked if they pay for their phone via direct debit. They even mentioned the expiry date of a Visa card and asked if it was right. Definitely felt like a scam trying to get bank details. They didn’t hang about before telling them to get lost with a proper rude word.

Had two calls from this number today. It’s a telemarketing firm trying to peddle their so-called 'nuisance call blocking' services (honestly, you couldn’t make this stuff up!). When I inquired about their company name, they promptly ended the call. To add to the madness, the call-back number doesn’t even work. Can’t wait for the 25th of May!

I'm already on the TPS, which I understand stops cold calls here in the UK, and they surely don’t ask for your bank info! Sadly, the TPS only blocks calls from inside the UK.

This Asian woman passed me onto an Asian guy who had my bank info but used the wrong name. He spoke to me like I was daft, so I ended the call. A bloke with an accent from the Indian subcontinent rings me up, says "My name is Peter, I’m calling from the official Telephone Preferences Service call blocking centre here in the UK." I told him straight away he was definitely a scammer! Explained to him that TPS doesn’t actually do cold calls, that I’m on their list to avoid such calls, and he should take me off whatever list he’s got me on. Told him to bugger off and never call again!

I’d just got home when I found my husband on the phone with a woman who claimed she was from the telephone preference service, asking for his bank info.
