I got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon, just double checking a gift card I had bought was legit. On my Amazon account it showed as "processing" until after the call, then it went through. The man with an Indian accent asked if I’d bought the gift card, how much it was for and why I got it. The last question seems sensible since there are loads of scams where people get asked to pay fake fines with gift cards. He never asked for any sensitive info like card numbers, my DOB, address, PIN or bank stuff. The call was really quick, maybe 60 seconds max.

Got a voicemail from someone saying they were Amazon, wanting to reschedule a delivery they couldn’t make earlier today. Got a call from some Asian guy claiming to be from Amazon. He seemed to know I’d recently bought a laptop. Said something about my order being cancelled - which I later saw on my Cancelled Orders list and got an email about it from Amazon as well. I kept asking him what exactly he was calling about and he just ended the call abruptly! Took me over an hour to finally log back into my Amazon account. This whole thing just feels like some kind of scam.

finally picked up after gettin annoyed! it was some life insurance quote or comparison place, told them my price and they just cut off. if they're legit, they need to stop hassling folks with calls. but if it's a scam, everyone oughta report em to put an end to it!
