Received a call from 01892 710271 claiming to be from HMRC saying I was being investigated. I knew straight away it was dodgy because a mate told me he got the same call. So, I just hung up on them.

Got a call from Steve claiming to be from HMRC, the bloke had rubbish English and was really hard to get what he was saying. Kept telling me I owed tax and was facing court action. Felt totally dodgy, should’ve just checked the number online first, turns out they’re well known for scams. Proper unsettling and sketchy situation!

Got a voicemail earlier today around 2pm from a woman pretending to be from HMRC. She was really aggressive and trying to scare me with threats. It’s so wrong what these scammers are doing. I really hope the authorities find these people soon and put an end to this.

So, I got this dodgy voicemail and decided to ring back. The bloke who answered said his name was Adam Smith and when I called him out for sounding like a scammer, he totally lost it. He pretty much admitted he was trying to con loads of people across the UK. Proper nutter, honestly. Wouldn’t touch this number with a bargepole.

got a recorded call threatening me like the usual ones. I rang back and after about a minute of listening to their nonsense, I told them they were scammers for mentioning "federal laws". then they said the police would have a warrant to arrest me within 5 hours. I just hung up straight away. don’t bother with this number, it’s a total rip-off.

SCAM ALERT! PLEASE AVOID ANSWERING THIS NUMBER! I've gotten loads of calls and voicemails claiming to be from 'Sarah Wilson' at HM Revenue and Customs, each from a different number. They keep insisting I must get back to them straight away or face prosecution. Definitely a textbook con trick. Even if you block one number, they seem to keep coming from others. Just remember, it’s all a scam. Stay cautious!

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I’d been involved in serious fraud and that I needed to pay them some money right away. It was really stressful at first. Luckily, I rang HMRC myself, and they confirmed it was just a scam trying to trick me. Very relieved!

Got a call from someone pretending to be the tax office, saying I was involved in tax evasion and that I had a warrant out for me. Total nonsense! They even used my old maiden name, which gave it away straight away since HMRC only knows me by my married name. These scammers are truly dreadful and need to be stopped. Like many others, I found a really threatening voicemail on my answer machine. Surely pretending to be a Government Official should be illegal, if it isn’t already. These scammers just keep going, probably setting up new numbers as fast as the cops shut down the old ones. They need to be nailed hard with serious fines and jail time, for anyone involved in these scams. It’s the only way to stop them for good. The threat of heavy punishment might make them think twice before risking it all for a quick payday.

I just let this ring out to the answerphone since I usually don’t answer numbers I don’t know. Like a few others have said, it was a pretty grim recorded message claiming to be Sarah Wilson from HMRC, warning that either you or your solicitor have to ring them back or you’ll get into serious legal trouble. It’s honestly quite unsettling, even when you’re aware it’s totally a scam.

This number rang my elderly mum and dad pretending to be from HMRC. When I phoned back to check and asked where they were calling from, they claimed it was London. But as soon as I pointed out the code didn't match London, they just ended the call. Total scam, watch out!
