I got a call on my home phone from 01892 710731, and they started off saying they were offering insurance for white goods. Then they asked for my bank sort code, claiming it’s something everyone normally hands over. I said no thanks and told them I was hanging up, which I did. Since that call, the same number has rung me about ten times! Thankfully, I’ve got caller ID, so I just let it ring out. Not everyone would be lucky like that, though.

Had a call from what I'm pretty sure was a call centre, and the bloke on the line sounded Asian. He was trying to sell me some cheap warranty for kitchen gadgets. Definitely a scam, so just steer clear of it!
