I’ve discovered that this number belongs to British Gas. A while back, they managed to get hold of my work mobile when I rang them up, using the caller ID to snatch my details. I’ve repeatedly requested them to erase my number from their database, and each time, they assure me that it will be sorted. Yet, they continue to ring my work mobile! The most recent calls appeared to be from a local number, specifically 01424787762. Naturally, I ended up picking it up during work hours, assuming it was a call related to my job.
