It was a woman from some call centre who knew my surname and said I’d filed a claim for a damaged car (which is weird because I don’t even drive or have a car). They kept ringing me over and over. When I finally picked up, they said there was some money from an Insurance firm for an injury I got in an accident. Thing is, I wasn’t hurt at all. Plus, my car and insurance are under my husband’s name, so if there was any cash owed, it’d be to him. They pretty much tried to push me into admitting I was injured. I reckon the next thing they wanted was my bank details.

I received a call from this rather pushy car insurance salesperson who started her pitch, and I immediately interjected with, "I'm not interested in whatever you're selling!" She then pried into whether I actually understood what she was on about, to which I bluntly replied, "Not really, and frankly, I still couldn't care less." The conversation took an amusing turn when she asked, "Are you having a rough day?" I replied, "Not particularly, but that doesn’t change my indifference." She then cheekily remarked, "Wow, you're definitely flying solo-have a lovely day!" before ending the call. It’s quite humorous in retrospect, yet really quite rude, if you ask me!

Someone claiming to be from a firm that ‘works with insurance companies’ called me about damage I supposedly reported on a car, but they couldn’t tell me which vehicle or when it happened. I told them it seemed like a phishing scam and then the call just got cut off!
