Total scam alert. Someone called pretending to be from BT, claiming they were looking into suspicious activity on my mum’s account. They wanted her to get on her computer while they stayed on the phone to “check some details.” They asked her what she did online, if she used online banking, and said they needed this info before they could disconnect her internet and carry out proper checks. My mum doesn’t even have BT, so it was obviously dodgy.
