There was no one replying when I answered, didn’t say a word myself. Such scummy people who should be stopped from using phones to try and trick folks. Total rubbish.

Yesterday, I got two calls from someone saying they were from HMRC about fraud. But when my hubby told them to speak to our accountant, they just hung up.

I got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from HM Customs and Excise. They said they’d been trying to get in touch with me, but as soon as I started asking questions, they just hung up.

My step mum, who’s 91, got the same kind of call this morning too, about the same time. They rang her three times and it’s really upset her.

They call but when you pick up no one’s on the line.

early on monday, about 8.15 am, a bloke who said his name was richard harper gave me a ring. his accent was kinda mixed, sounding like indian or pakistani, but the weird thing was his voice sounded all messed up, like it was through some dodgy electronic filter. he said he was from hmrc, right from 100 parliament square in london, and went on about how we’d been purposely dodging income tax and that cops would be showing up later that day to arrest us. total nonsense really.
