I got a dodgy phone call about some shares they said I might own. I've had calls like this before, and usually they try to fish for your personal info. From what I've read online, if you keep talking, next thing they want you to do is transfer money into some sort of escrow account. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call saying there was a problem with my BT internet, which I actually don’t use. I didn’t press any buttons as it asked me to press 1 if I wanted to continue. After a while, some bloke started shouting “Hello? Are you there?” then just hung up. Quite odd really.

In the past hour, I’ve had 3 calls. The first was an automated message saying BT Broadband was being discontinued, asking me to press 1 or 2. I ended the call straight away because I knew it was dodgy. Since then, 2 more calls have come through from 01887250688. After looking up phone scams online and seeing this number linked to that BT Broadband scam, I just cut them off without a word. Can’t seem to block them though. My advice? Don’t answer or press any buttons if you get these calls - just hang up immediately!

What a terrible scam this is. Got a recorded message saying my internet would get cut off and to press 1 or whatever. Can’t block the number since I don’t have any fancy devices. Honestly, I reckon karma will catch up with these lot. Hope they end up in a bad car smash or something, with their brains and faces all over the motorway. That’d be justice in my book.

I’ve gotten 3 calls just this past hour, it’s ridiculous how many timewasters are out there. I can’t get why phone companies just hand out numbers to dodgy scammers like it’s nothing. You’d think the operators would have to check the companies are legit before giving them numbers, or at least shut down those numbers once they’re flagged as scammers. Seems like the phone firms should take more responsibility.
