Whenever I get one of these calls, I just string them along. I tell them I've got tons of debts and start inventing loads of details. One time I managed to keep a caller chatting for about half an hour, answering all their questions, then suddenly said I had to dash off to pick my partner up from the shops and just ended the call. They never called me again after that. Honestly, don’t share any real info - just make it all up and try to waste as much of their time as possible.

Got a call from some bloke claiming I owed money, but as soon as I asked for details, he fell silent. I told him to bugger off with his scam and hung up. He kept jabbering for a bit after I'd ended the call. Sounds like they’ve moved on from the vaccine update scam since fewer folks are buying it now.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent and I quickly told him I wasn’t up for chatting. He asked why I didn’t want to speak to him, so I just told him to back off. That’s when he lost it and started shouting all sorts of horrible insults at me, like swearing really aggressively. Proper scary and rude.

Once again, it’s people from India causing trouble. They seriously give the whole country a bad name. I honestly can’t stand dealing with Indian guys anymore - so much hassle and misuse of personal info all over the NHS. Was at the dentist and they made me wait way too long or too short, don’t even remember. Then at the gyno, they stuck some huge thing inside me and told me not to take any meds. And what can I do? So I phoned Moorcroft using the number on their official site, and they told me they had no idea about the call or the number that rang me.

He rudely insisted he was a bailiff and threatened to appear at my doorstep in a mere 15 minutes if I didn’t engage with him. He purported to be connected with Moorcroft Debt Recovery, but upon contacting them, they confirmed that I owe them nothing and have no record of the number that rang me. Quite perplexing, to say the least!
