I wasn’t around to answer the phone so I tried 1471 instead. Reading other people’s stories really helped since I don’t have any insurance tied to accidents, cheers for that.
It’s clear this was a scam, so I’m relieved I missed the call and now I’ll be on guard in case they try again.

Got a call from a number listed with the TPS about an accident ive never been involved in. They kept dodging who they were and tried to say they were from Aviva, but it was obvious they weren’t legit. I ended up just hanging up and have reported the whole thing to the ICO.

I've signed up for the TPS so any calls like this must be coming from overseas, which is why I usually ignore my landline. Strangely enough, these calls only began after GE Money handed over their operations to Elderbridge. I've accused Elderbridge of leaking my details, but they keep denying it.

Tried ringing back and got hit with another famous one, "the number you are calling is busy to use ringback please press 5!" Honestly, never heard those lines so much before.
