Got another fake call from a number that supposedly comes from South Uist in the Outer Hebrides - which I find a bit odd as I don’t think there’s anyone there doing BT scams! The recorded message said my broadband was about to be disconnected by BT. Thing is, I don’t even have BT broadband; my internet’s with a different provider. The automated voice told me to press 1 to stop the disconnection or 2 to go ahead with it, so of course I hung up and blocked the number. Problem is, blocking doesn’t seem to help since they keep changing the number every day, so I’ve ended up with a whole list of these numbers to report. Really hope the authorities find a way to stop these scammers soon.
