I received a call from this chap with an accent that seemed a bit off, suggesting that I could retrieve some funds from my credit card. What a dodgy scam!

I wasnt really sure who it was, but some young guy with an African accent was telling me I’d just made a purchase and could get a refund on my credit card... lol, problem is I don’t even have a credit card!! Told him I wasnt interested, slapped his number on the block list and ended the call.

This caller from British Gas wouldn't give up. He knew some of my info, but something just didn’t sit right with me. After a bit of digging, I found out these folks also use the names EON and OPUS. I decided to have a bit of a laugh and then told him the number he gave me flagged up as likely a scam. He got proper annoyed and just hung up on me! Oh, and he said his name was Sharon - which I thought was a bit odd!
