Ringed my landline around 2:15 in the afternoon, but there was nothing but quiet when I picked up.

Had a call from a guy with an Asian accent, calling himself John from IT support, saying my computer had some errors. When I asked for the IP address of the "problem" computer, he couldn't give me one. I'm not that gullible! I've got a list of about 20 of these dodgy calls already.
