Definately a scam call - the fees they mention are way below the legal limits, so no protection for you. They’re not very clever, just ask for their contact info, then check the company yourself. Washing machine cover usually costs about 70 quid a year, so those dodgy callers asking for 49 quid are just under the amount you legally get back. It’s a shame the regulators never put an end to this rubbish.

Got a call from 01873739455 at 10:21 this morning. The lady said her name was Kate and said she was from Domestic & General about my washing machine warranty. Thing is, I don't have any warranty with them for my washing machine, so I told her that and ended the call.

In just one day this number has attempted to call my main line three times. Luckily, I have a call blocker so it didn’t get through. The area code shows it’s from Abergavenny, and honestly, someone needs to do something about it before it causes bigger problems. It’s really annoying!

I got a call from someone claiming to be Domestic and General about insuring my washing machine. I phoned the number they gave me with the appliance to organise a plan. After setting up the insurance, they phoned me back an hour later, I spoke to a woman who abruptly hung up on me. Definitely wouldn’t trust this number at all.
