Judging by what others have said, this might be a genuine number. It rang me a couple of times earlier today, about ten minutes apart, with the second call coming at 1:47 in the morning. I chose not to pick up, only getting out of bed to stop the ringing from disturbing the rest of the household. I live over 200 miles away from Truro, so there’s absolutely no reason for them to call me at such an ungodly hour, or any hour really. It’s totally unacceptable and there was no apology given. They really need to be more thoughtful about making calls in the early hours.

I got a call from this number and, curious, I enquired about who was calling. I eventually revealed my name, having been associated with the hospital for four decades. The response I got was quite bizarre-he claimed he didn't know me and promptly disconnected the call. When I tried to ring back, it went directly to voicemail for the appointments department at the RCHT. Not entirely sure what’s happening here, but it certainly seems a bit suspect to me.
