Some sort of medical con, they wanted me to ring them back saying there’s government assistance for an illness I don’t even suffer from. Total scam.

The government only helps out by giving back the VAT on the actual gadget itself, but they really cash in on the ongoing fees. If you really want one of those 'Fall' alert devices, your best bet is to visit your local NHS centre and ask them directly. Whatever you do, don’t call the number they hand out - it’s just a sneaky way to get you to buy from them.

Like the others mentioned, I got a voicemail from someone named Alex, sounded quite polite, talking about some government-backed fall detection medical pendant. I’m also signed up with the TPS. Feels like a scam trying to target older folks who might be more at risk. Didn’t bother answering.

got this weird prerecorded call about life insurance, but it had these weird pauses like it was trying to make you think you were actually chatting with someone. after a few minutes, it switched over to a real person. pretty sneaky cold caller method. just say no, dont forget to mention the tps and ask how they found your number.
