I got this number from a group claiming to be "Block Calls" or the "Do Not Call Registry" who convinced me to pay £50 yearly to block nuisance calls. But I’ve tried ringing them loads of times and never get an answer. Feels like a total scam to me!

Got a call from 01865522608 about some account they said I had. Told them straight away I aint got any account with their firm and I’m not interested in their services. Warned them if they keep ringing me, I’d have no choice but to get the police involved for harassment. Last year was a nightmare after they somehow managed to take money from my bank, but thankfully the bank sorted it and stopped any more payments going through to them. These lot are a proper headache and clearly know how to trick people. Really dodgy business.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with CallBlockers, saying they’d been blocking about 130 calls a month because we supposedly had an account with them. I told them I’d already reported them to Action Fraud and managed to get my money back since it was a con. The person was pretty rude, said there was no point continuing the chat, and just hung up on me. Definitely steer clear - sounds like a right nasty scam.

Got a call from 01865 522608, some bloke claiming to be from ‘call block’ saying they’re stopping loads of calls for me. He said they’d take the payment for the next year from my last card on file, a Clydesdale ending in 3161. Told him I don’t have that card, said I left my purse at work. He called me a liar and warned I’d be getting over 30 nuisance calls a day now, asked me how I liked that idea. I just said fine. Sounds like a proper scam to me.

I just ended the call.

I explained to the gentleman that I’d cancelled the account over a year ago, but he refused to believe me. When I tried to end the conversation, he suddenly got quite aggressive, warning me about loads of unwanted calls coming my way, then just hung up.
