Got a call on 9th August 2019 from a local number, 01204, which made me pick up since it looked like a nearby landline. There was this automated bloke warning about my internet being disconnected unless I pressed 1 or 2. I ended the call straight away since I’m not even with BT. Quite sneaky how they used a local dialling code to trick people into picking up!

Got a call today at 10:52am from 01559 371801. It was one of those Ofcom warnings saying the line will be cut off in 24 hours, and there was some button pressing option involved. Just a heads up, seems like those hackers are back at it again. Stay careful out there!

I got a call from 02032900836, and it was some automated message saying I’d been hacked, claimed to be from Ofcom. They wanted me to press 1, but I just messed about and wasted their time for like 20 minutes before finally hanging up.

Like many others, I reckon it's a complete scam. My main concern is that folks who are vulnerable might get caught out. Best to just ignore it and not reply!

Got a call from 001441865521100, this lady said she was from Ofcom and warned my internet was gonna be cut off in an hour due to hacking that was supposedly dangerous. She told me to press 1 to talk to BT or 2 for some other option. I got a bit panicky and hit 1, but nothing went through. Just looked up the number here and realised it’s definitely a scam.

Got a call from this number on Monday the 26th of Nov. A woman’s recorded voice told me my internet was about to stop working or something like that. She asked me to press a certain number to sort it out - I’m pretty sure if I’d done that, I’d have been put through to some expensive premium rate scam line. Definitely dodgy!

Some bloke rang me claiming he was from Ofcom and said my phone was being hacked. He told me he’d have to take action to fix it, but I just ended the call straight away. Then, about two hours later, another call came through from someone called ‘Tobo’ with a dodgy voice, saying my internet would be cut off in a day if I didn’t sort it. I just hung up again. Had these sorts of scam calls before and always ignore ‘em, but I picked up the first one this time cos I was expecting a call from family who live in Oxford and figured it might’ve been them.

My mobile keeps ringing from this number, but when I pick up, there’s nobody on the other end. I got one voice message once, but when I played it back, it was just silence. Got a bloke on the phone asking to get remote access to my PC. When I pushed back, he started swearing and got really nasty. This happened loads through the day, and by the end, he even threatened to come round to my house. I told the last one that if they ring again, I’d have no choice but to report it to the cops. Honestly, it’s nothing but criminal behaviour.
