I'm honestly fed up with these #CENSORED# constantly ringing my landline - they make up nearly 90% of the calls I get these days. It's always the same nonsense about being an energy company, then they ask if I own the house and cut off the call when I don't reply. Just got another one recently but now they've switched phone providers and show up as "International" instead of a proper number, probably so I can’t report them to the ICO like before. This has gone too far - I’m seriously considering getting rid of my landline altogether just to avoid them.

This number’s been ringing me a few times lately claiming they’re from BT and there’s some dodgy stuff happening on my broadband. Obviously a scam because I’m not even a BT customer! The only shady thing is whatever they’re trying on my phone. If you hit '1' like they ask, it just hangs up straight away. Avoid that call for sure.

They started off asking if I was the homeowner, then rambled on about some piece they read in the Telegraph. Apparently, they were calling for a government scheme about issues with rock wool and fiberglass insulation. I lost interest pretty quick and just ended the call.

Then he said something like, 'Glad to know you’re not throwing cash away on life insurance!' Bit weird, so I quickly realised it was one of those automated calls that responds to what you say. I ended it there and then. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

If you don't recognise the number, I'd advise against answering the call. Honestly, if it were something pressing, they'd likely leave a voicemail or reach out through different channels. Personally, I believe this is the best strategy to deal with those callers.

Dodgy Energy Insulation Tactics! I'm constantly getting calls from this character who keeps switching names-first it was Matthew, then Alex, and who knows what else.
