( writing for my 82 year old mum ) Got a call from a bloke who never said his name, just that it was about some loft insulation they’d put in that now needs replacing because it’s leading to condensation. When she asked who “they” were, he said he was with the Council. Mum asked for his name next, and then he just cut the call.

Got a call from 'Digital Marketing Purposes' at 5:32 pm this evening. My wife picked up and the guy started chatting about a loft insulation survey. She told him she’d put me on the line. I asked, "Who the hell is this?" and they hung up straight away. I checked the number by dialling 1471, it came up as 01865413225. Then I pressed option 3 to return the call, followed by option 1 on their automated message to block any more calls. A robotic female voice just said ‘Goodbye’. What a bunch of wankers.

I keep getting calls from numbers around Southampton, like 01865413226 last Friday about 8:30am, then 01865413225 at 9:25am, and today I had one from 01865413345 at 11:30am. The numbers all look the same except for the last digits. Nobody ever answers when I pick up, so it’s clearly some kind of call centre. It’s starting to get really frustrating and I’ve already signed up to the TPS but it doesn’t seem to stop them at all.

Got a call from someone called ‘Patrick’ who was asking about loft insulation, claiming it had been recently fitted in my house. I told him it wasn’t true - the insulation’s been there since the place was built 25 years ago. After that he just hung up on me. Pretty clear this was a dodgy scam trying to catch me out.
