Just got a call from someone called ‘Amy’ saying she was from Telephone Preference Management. She was trying to trick me into confirming my bank card info, saying my Visa debit had expired and that was causing all these annoying calls. I told her my card isn’t linked to my phone account at all, but she wouldn’t drop it. I said it all sounded really dodgy and asked her for the company’s address, and then she just cut me off. Seriously, what a cheek!

Got three calls from 01863 300016 all within like 20 mins. The first one was a guy with a strong South Asian accent, he was asking something about stopping annoying calls but it wasn’t very clear. We told him nicely we weren’t interested. Then the next couple of calls were just dead silent. Feels like they were trying to bother us on purpose. I've had two calls from this number today, once at 11:09 and again at 14:40. I picked up the second call and it was clearly someone from a call centre in India, the connection was really poor. The guy claimed to be from Telephone Preference Management, asking if I was still getting nuisance calls. He mentioned my address and asked me to verify it, then said their records showed my debit card expired in 2018. I told him that wasn’t right, hoping it would shut him down, but he just ended the call. Not sure what’s coming next!

I reckon this might be another scam, the number looks a lot like those fake calls about updating your TPS info. They’re probably just after your personal details. When I picked up, there was nothing but silence, so I didn’t even bother saying anything.
