On Thursday, the 19th of July, just around noon, I received a rather peculiar call in Kendal, Cumbria. A robotic voice chimed in saying, “You’re through to BT” followed by some spiel regarding a phone issue. It then prompted me to press 1 for BT or 2 for another provider.
