Received a call from an unfamiliar number while I was away; I’ve decided to block it.

I received an unsolicited call on my phone, which is registered with the TPS. The caller requested to speak with a family member by their first name, but they clearly had no interest in chatting with me. Quite irritating, to say the least!

I noticed that my voicemail kicked in after just a couple of rings, which is quite out of the ordinary. Then, they hung up. This has occurred several times throughout the day. I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service and to top it all off, I’m skint!

Received a call from a young woman who wanted to conduct a brief survey. She was quite courteous, and while I wouldn't label the experience as threatening, it did feel a tad relentless—definitely more annoying than alarming.

It’s merely a questionnaire, really. I wouldn’t say it’s anything to be overly concerned about.

Had a chat with a delightful young lady who was conducting a survey. I wouldn't label this number as hazardous at all, just slightly bothersome, if I'm honest!

Received a call from someone inquiring whether I was Mrs. Francis, which I’m definitely not. The caller quickly apologised and said they must have dialled the wrong number, and then wished me a pleasant day. Still, I can’t shake off the feeling that it might have been a sneaky sales call.

A lady called inquiring if I was Mr. Edmondson. Upon my reply of 'no', she promptly ended the call. Strange behaviour, if you ask me!

I received a call from this number, but they hung up before I had a chance to pick up. Even though it seemed like a local number, it wasn't saved in my contacts. After perusing the remarks on this site, I'm quite relieved that I didn't actually answer the call.

I received a call today regarding some home renovations. I politely informed them that I wasn't interested and requested them to take my number off their list. To my surprise, they just ended the call abruptly.

I received two phone calls from this number in under an hour. I chose not to pick up since I didn't recognise it. I've labelled it as 'unknown', but honestly, it feels a bit like harassment! If there was anything significant to say, they ought to have left a voicemail, don't you think?

I received a call very much like Mike's experience noted above. A lady inquired if I was ****, and upon confirming my identity, she mentioned there were "vouchers" up for grabs. She proceeded to ask whether we had LED lighting, walls of "one brick or two" (I presumed she was referring to cavity walls), any moss on the roof, flat roofing, or condensation issues on our windows. Eventually, she indicated that someone would reach out regarding the vouchers. Shortly thereafter, another call came in to discuss arranging a quote for double glazing vouchers, offering a £250 discount on each window. A gentleman then made an appointment, came round, and launched into a hard sell, presenting a massive discount if we were to pay a deposit right away. He even contacted his boss, stating we needed more time to deliberate. We could hear his boss chime in – it was like a scene from a comedy, as we caught snippets of conversation about how they should play it, followed by directives on how to sound shocked and surprised. Eventually, we decided to usher him out. The gent then called back saying there had been some mix-up, only for the boss to ring us, desperately trying to smooth things over. Quite the charade, really! The callers consisted of two different ladies, a salesman named Pete, and his boss, Martin.

A young lady inquired whether I was indeed ****. Upon my confirmation, she mentioned some sort of “vouchers” being available. She proceeded to ask if we possess LED lighting, whether our walls are “one brick or two brick” (I gather she was referring to cavity walls), if there's any moss growing on the roof, as well as details about flat roofs and condensation issues on our windows. She concluded by informing me that someone would reach out regarding the vouchers. I can only deduce that these folks are either in the moss removal business or deal with flat roofing. Frankly, I have no interest in either service.
