Got a call from "East Anglia Surveys" claiming to do an "energy efficiency survey," but really just trying to peddle energy-saving products by pretending to check if I qualify for government grants. I told them my number is on the TPS and that their fake survey is just a sneaky way to dodge the rules about checking the register first. Definitely reporting them to both TPS and ICO.

Someone called me two times in like an hour. I ignored it because the number was unfamiliar. I put it down as unknown, but honestly, it felt maybe a bit of harassment! If it was truly urgent, they’d have left a voicemail, right?

On the afternoon of 17th February, this number gave me a call out of the blue, pushing some home improvement deals. I ended up answering some questions about my house condition. Just like Mike’s story, I got a call from a young woman asking if I was ****. When I said yes, she talked about some “vouchers” to hand out. She asked a bunch of questions about LED lighting, “one brick or two brick” walls (I guess she meant cavity walls), if there was moss on our roof, any flat roofs or condensation on windows. Then she said someone would ring back about the vouchers. Sure enough, the next call was about setting up a quote for double glazing with £250 off each window. A bloke called and booked an appointment, came round and pushed a “huge discount” if we paid a deposit on the spot. He phoned his boss because we needed more time to decide, and you could hear the boss on the line, acting all surprised and telling him how to “play it.” It was like listening to a comedy show! We told the salesman to leave straight away. Later he rang saying it was all a mix-up, and then the boss called trying to smooth things over. We had calls from two different girls, a salesman named Pete, and his boss Martin. Definitely a bit dodgy.

Someone called and asked if I was ****, which I confirmed. Then the caller mentioned some kind of "vouchers" being given away. They started asking about stuff like LED lighting, whether my house has single or double brick walls (I think they meant cavity walls), moss growing on the roof, any flat roofs, or if we had condensation on the windows. At the end, they said someone would contact me about the vouchers. Sounds like the call was probably from folks dealing with moss clearing or flat roof repairs. Not really something I’m looking for.
