Received a call today and it baffles me why the police haven't stepped in to tackle these fraudsters. Loads of people here and on similar sites seem to avoid falling for these scams, but surely lots of older or vulnerable folks must be getting duped, or these scammers wouldn’t keep at it. In this day and age, the only thing separating breaking into someone’s home and physically hurting them to steal money from hacking into their computer or bank account through a cold call is that the former is risky and tough, while the latter is simple, way more lucrative, and seems like there’s no chance of getting caught.

First, there was nothing but quiet, then out of nowhere a woman says "GOODBYE". Luckily BT Call Protect caught it and blocked the number 1572.

Got a call from someone speaking with an Indian accent claiming they're from BT and wanted to get into my internet. I quickly ended the call. Honestly, no matter who they claim to be, you should never give anyone access to your internet.

Got a call from some Asian guy claiming someone was using our internet last night. When I told him we run a business, he suddenly started asking if I was single or married, then weirdly if I was a virgin. Didn’t hang around after that nonsense - just ended the call right away!

Got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent claiming there was someone messing with my internet connection. He said he was from BT, which is odd cos we ain't got internet with them at all. I caught on quick that it was a scam, so I told him to quit calling me.

Yesterday around 1pm, I got a call from a woman with a foreign accent, number 0017872943185. She claimed there was an issue with my internet and asked me to switch on my computer so she could sort it out. I said no thanks, I’d handle it myself, then she just hung up. Then today at about 4:05pm, a bloke sounding Asian called from 01839248175 telling me I had loads of viruses on my PC. He said if I powered it up, he could fix it. I told him I had security measures in place and would sort it out on my own, then he ended the call.
