Got a call from some dodgy number saying BT were cutting off our internet, but the voice sounded all weird and very American. Felt like a total scam to me.

Earlier today, as I answered my phone, a rather robotic female voice informed me that she was ringing from BT, warning me that my internet connection would be terminated within a day unless I pressed '1' to prevent such an occurrence. Naturally, I promptly hung up and placed the receiver back down. The curious thing is, I don’t even have my phone line or internet service with BT-I’m not one of their customers at all! Clearly, this is a scam and ought to be flagged to the authorities.

Got a call from this number, an automated voice said something like, "This is BT, your internet will be cut off soon - press 1 to avoid it!" I’d just had a similar scam call last week claiming to be TalkTalk. Be careful, it’s a total con! Don’t get fooled!
