I wouldn’t trust them, it’s definitely a con. I’ve blocked the number through BT already.

Got a call from a guy talking with an Indian accent claiming he’s from the telephone preference service, said they were just updating their records - total scam obviously. The number 01709325249 keeps popping up too. They ring me loads of times each day, and every time I block one number, they call from a different one. It’s really annoying, hope the authorities can track down these con artists causing so much hassle for people like me.

Got a call from this number not long ago, and it was this Indian woman who was really hard to understand. When I told her that she and her company deserve to be taken to court, the call just ended abruptly. Seems like the officials are finally cracking down on these annoying calls, which is about time. The Telephone Preference Service doesn’t seem to work at all - it either needs to be done away with or given proper authority to take serious action against these callers.

Received a staggering eight calls within just one hour today. I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

I got a ring from a bloke sounding Indian who gave my name and number, saying he was with some call blocking company that supposedly lasts forever without any weekly or monthly fees. I asked if it was free and he told me there was just a one-off payment. I told him "no cheers" or something like that and hung up straight away. After that, I used Talk Talk's call blocking by dialling 14258 and also blocked the number on my phone itself.

Got a bloke with an Indian accent who said his name was David, calling to ask about my call blocking service and if I was still getting annoying calls. I told him the only one bothering me was him, then just hung up.

Got a call from 01832400021, some woman saying she was from TPM or somethin. Just the usual scam talk, tried pushing for my card info. I told her there was no need since the service was meant to be free. Then I told her to just send whatever by mail if it’s legit. She didn't like that and ended up hanging up on me. She mentioned the company’s in London, postcode WAW1SS or something like that.

Got a call again this morning from 01832 400021, this time at 12:10pm, but they'd already rung me earlier at 11:41am on 20th December 2018. The first time, they just cut off. The second call was an Indian lady claiming to be from BT Call Blocking. She appeared to have loads of info about me - my name, address, postcode, even my house number. Then she started asking about my debit card details, which made me suspicious. I told her I wasn’t comfortable with that and wasn’t going to share anything, and then she ended the call.

I got a call from a different number just yesterday, really similar to what others said. The number was 01709325249. Seems like the same thing is going around!

I've received a staggering seven calls from this number today alone! When I finally decided to pick up, I found myself speaking to someone claiming to be from a company called CallBlockers. They were supposedly set to block all unwanted callers starting tomorrow. Strangely, they knew my name and address, and then they asked me to verify the expiry date on my debit card. I felt uneasy about the whole conversation, so I hung up. But rather predictably, they rang me back within moments, and I chose to ignore them that time.

These dodgy crooks ring from abroad so there’s no way the UK can chase them or slap a fine on them. On average, they’ll bug you about three times daily trying to get your credit card info. They only need one gullible British person to fall for their rubbish stories, then they’ll drain your accounts dry. If you’re with BT, you can ring 0800 672476 to get signed up on BT’s free service called CALL PROTECT 1572. Once you’re set up, if a scammer calls, just pick up briefly, hang up, then dial 1572 and follow the instructions to block their number for good.

I got a call from a bloke speaking with an Indian accent claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service. He started asking if I was still getting annoying calls, then suddenly asked me to confirm the expiry date on my debit card - the one used for my phone payments apparently. It was pretty obvious to me this was a scam to grab my card info, so I told him flat out I wouldn’t be sharing any details over the phone and promptly ended the call. Not long after, the same number rang again but I ignored it.

Today I got six calls from this number. Also, a number almost the same, 01832400023, kept ringing me about five times daily for five whole days before I finally blocked it. This is getting ridiculous. People should find honest work instead of trying to rip off decent folks.

Totally a scam. Got a call from 01832400024 claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Management Service (not to be mixed up with the official TPS you find at [#][#]tpsonline[###][###]/tps/index.html). They just want you to give your bank card info. Told them straight to get lost.

Got a call around 10:30 in the morning from someone using my name. They said they were from the Telephone Preference Service and were trying to help stop those pesky nuisance calls. Then they asked me to confirm my address! It all sounded a bit dodgy to me, so I just ended the call immediately.

They kept ringing me up, asking me to confirm my account number. Obviously, I didn’t fall for it. The bloke wasn’t pleased at all, seemed like he expected me to trust him straight away. Yeah, no thanks!

This number, and a few like it, keep ringing me up all the time. They always want to speak to someone like Mr Haig, Mr Hyagg, or Mr Higg - clearly struggling with how to say the name properly in English! Don’t have a clue what they’re after. I just tell them it’s the wrong number and hang up. Might keep my old whistle nearby next time and give them a blast for a change.

Got a call earlier saying they were from BT preferred service, asking to confirm my address and when my debit card runs out. I just ended the call. Then they rang me back, and I told them if they could actually make my preferred service better, fine, but otherwise just stop bothering me.

I've been getting loads of these calls lately. When I picked up once, a bloke with an Indian accent said he was from the Telephone Preference Service. He asked if I was getting unwanted calls, to which I replied yes, including his. Next thing I know, he just hangs up on me. Seems dodgy, like some sort of scam if you engage with them.

I've had calls loads of times on a couple of different landlines, always from someone with either an Indian or British accent saying they’re from TPS. They run through the same old scripts every time. I just play along with their questions to mess about a bit, and in the end, they usually just hang up on me.

Today this number kept ringing me over and over again. Every time I hung up or said I wasn't interested, they just called right back. It was like they called me four times in a row before my husband finally told them off, and then I had to block the number.

This number has been calling me multiple times every day over the past few days. I've already put it on the do-not-call list and told them to stop, but it still rang again this morning around 10:30. Really annoying!

These scumbags seriously need to be put to a stop. Some bloke rang up claiming he was there to help me stop spam calls, like I was daft enough to fall for it. When I said he was part of the problem, he kept denying it and then tried to get my card info for ‘verification’. Honestly, I can’t even repeat what I told him after that! I just ended the call straight away.

Got a ring from this number earlier today saying they were from BT's landline service. They asked about when my debit card expires, saying they were trying to stop spam calls for me. I said I wasn’t interested, but they phoned me again two more times in just 10 minutes. When I asked to speak with their manager, the tone got pretty aggressive and the manager on the phone was rude as well!
