On the 23rd of September 2019, just after 2.45pm, i got a recorded call with a bloke’s voice sounding all threatening, saying he was from british telecom. They told me my home internet line was gonna be “disconnected” unless i pressed 1 to fix it, or 2 to let it get cut off. ive had this message three times in a week now, but each call came from a different number. obvious scam.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded Indian saying he was a technician from Talk Talk. He claimed my router was compromised and asked me to log into my computer. These scammers are seriously getting cleverer. Situations like this can be quite unsettling because if they think you’re wise to them or aren’t playing along, they can turn nasty and pushy. It’s especially worrying for older folks who aren’t so comfortable with technology.
