I’ve received a few calls from this number recently. I’ve taken to allowing my answering machine to handle all incoming calls these days, and, lo and behold, they always seem to hang up without leaving a message. I've only just signed up with BT, which does make one curious about who's on the other end of the line, doesn’t it?

I've had quite enough of this firm that insists on offering free damp assessments. I've made it clear multiple times that I'm not interested, yet they persist in ringing me up. Just today alone they've called me twice within a couple of hours. They're an absolute nuisance!

It seems the company in question goes by the name Weatherproofing UK Ltd. I received a call from them, but they abruptly disconnected without a word as soon as I picked up. If you try to ring them back, you're met with a robotic message identifying themselves, followed by a promise of a callback, but that's it – the line goes dead. I received a call for a supposed free damp proofing service, but I had to cut it short as I had previously requested two weeks back to be removed from their cold calling list. The caller suggested I enjoy my morning whilst on the loo, which perfectly encapsulates the ridiculousness of this whole scam!

It's rather infuriating, isn't it? I was under the impression that a recent regulation was intended to put an end to these incessant phone sales nuisances, yet they seem to be on the rise! We're bombarded with calls from these tricksters at least five times daily, and the baffling part is, we haven't made our number public nor have we shared it on any forms. The only entity aware of our number is BT, seeing as they only assigned it to us a few months back. One can't help but ponder whether BT is profiting by selling our details!

I’ve no clue who that caller was. The area code hails from Tamworth in Staffordshire, but I haven't got any links there at all. They provided an incorrect address for my number and mentioned they'd remove it from their records. Might be wise to consider blocking that one!
