Got a call from someone claiming to be Sky, offering me a new phone with unlimited everything, saying my old contract would be cancelled. It sounded too good to pass up, so I agreed. Later, a genuine Sky rep rang me and said a phone had been sent to my address - but it wasn’t the one I’d agreed to, plus I ended up with a basic package. They also asked if I’d added a new email or phone number to my account, which I definitely hadn’t. Turns out the scammers try to get you to add new contact details, then when you complain about the wrong phone, they offer to take it back and send the right one. But the replacement never comes, leaving you stuck with the phone and a three-year contract to pay for. Really grateful to Sky’s fraud team for catching this. Would strongly advise steering clear of this number!

I attempted to ring the number again but it’s showing as disconnected. Seems like it might be a call centre’s one-way line, so they wouldn’t take any calls coming in. Has anyone else managed to get through to this number?
