2 yearsThis number has rung us quite a few times. They keep bringing up a business named Ripple and keep asking for our MD, claiming they’ve already talked with him before. They never explain what the call’s really about and seem too forward. We’ve asked them several times to stop calling, but they carry on.Ripple2 yearsThey keep ringing me up asking for some director - somehow they’ve got his name, which is odd enough. But they won’t say who they’re with or what it’s about. Honestly, I can’t understand why they think being so secretive is going to get them through to him! Really strange behaviour.2 yearsHe rang up asking specifically for one of the directors, claiming he’d been in touch with him not long ago. When I explained that the director wasn’t in the office today, he then asked if I could share the director’s mobile number because he said he'd lost it. I refused, saying I couldn’t pass on that kind of info. Next, he wanted the director’s direct email address, which I also wouldn’t give. He was fairly friendly and polite but seemed like he was testing the waters, and he wouldn’t say what the call was about at all.2 yearsTotal waste of time, honestly. They just keep spinning tales trying to get you to talk to some director. wouldn’t trust a word they say.2 yearsReceived a call from someone named Patrick claiming to be from Ripple. But when I checked with Ripple directly, they said he wasn’t affiliated and warned me it was a scammer pretending to be them. Quite dodgy if you ask me.PatrickRipple2 yearsGot a call from some scammer pretending to know our MD and demanding their mobile number. The person was really pushy and rude, acting like they owned the place. Not happening, they’re definitely not getting through to us again!2 yearsGot a call from someone who was asking for MD like they actually knew him. I told them I’m the EA and all messages should come through me, but they wouldn’t give me any info at all. They were really stubborn about it.2 yearsGot a very insistent woman on the phone asking to speak with our managing director by name. When I asked what it was about, she refused to say, saying she wasn’t allowed to share details but kept insisting, “I spoke to him last week, just give him my name and he’ll know what it’s regarding.” Our MD had no idea who she was, so I didn’t connect her through. She then threatened to take her business somewhere else!!!2 yearsThe phone stopped ringing just as I was about to pick up. Decided to look it up here to find out if it was dodgy. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.2 yearsJust got a call from some posh lad, real cheeky and full of himself. Proper rude too! If they call again, I’m gonna give ‘em a piece of my mind!2 yearsJust like a few others have said, this bloke rang me up real rude when I wouldn't connect him. Insisted he wanted to speak to a Director by name but refused to share any info, claimed he knew the Director personally. Kept pestering me about when the Director was available, even though I told him a few times. Then he asked for my name and said he’d drop an email. I’ve blocked the number now.2 yearsGot a call from some telemarketing lot pretending they wanted to chat with the director, even threw out a name. Turns out they were just pushing some phone service deals and were dead annoying about it. Best thing I did was block the number right away and avoid all the hassle.2 yearsFor the last couple of days I’ve had this annoying caller who keeps ringing up trying to speak to the directors. Took about five calls before she finally said who she was representing. Pretty clear it was just a sales pitch but she’s never bothered to leave a voicemail or anything. Quite persistent though!3 yearsA bloke called Paul Jones rang up asking for MD by name. I told him I wasn’t interested in a callback, but he said he’d ring again. MD hasn’t any clue who this guy is, so it’s obviously just some dodgy sales call or scam.Paul JonesMD3 yearsGot a cheeky telesales bloke ringing me up, acting like he's all that and wanting to chat with the MD by first name. I worked cold calls from the Yellow Pages decades ago, so I can tell dodgy calls a mile off. Asked who he was and he just dropped a name. When I asked where he was calling from, he dodged it and asked when the MD would be available. Pressed him again and he goes, "that's not really relevant, I'll just send an email." I had a good laugh and told him not to bother. Honestly, just tell them to jog on, it's not worth the hassle.Yellow PagesMD3 yearsReceived a call from someone claiming to be Matthew Hawkins, insisted on speaking directly to one of our directors by name - funny thing is, one of those directors hasn’t worked here for over a year. Wouldn’t say what the call was about or even which company he was with. He said he’d ring back later to try and get hold of the director again. Our director had no idea who this Matthew Hawkins was. Quite dodgy if you ask me.Matthew Hawkins3 yearsSomeone calling themselves Jacob Browning kept ringing asking for our director, saying he was returning a call. Our director didn’t recognise the name at all, and this caller wouldn’t say which company he was from or talk to anyone else. He said he’d send an email but when I asked which email address he had for us, he just ended the call. This person keeps trying to call back, maybe hoping to catch someone else, so we’ve had to get our phone provider to block the number.Jacob Browning3 yearsGot a call from someone named Charlie Lawrence claiming to be from a telecom company. He said we’d talked earlier and that we’d told him to ring again. Total scam, watch out!Charlie Lawrence3 yearsI got a ring from a lady named Ema asking for my co-director by name. I told her he wasn’t in but I could handle things being the MD. That didn’t seem to cut it for her and she started getting quite rude before just hanging up on me. Honestly, not a great experience dealing with them. Even if you wanted to be polite, I reckon they deserve to be blacklisted and I’ve blocked their number now.Ema3 yearsGot a call asking to chat with the MD, but they wouldn't say where they were ringing from or what it was about.
