Some bloke called me, said his name was David but his accent was really thick, sounded like he was from somewhere in the Indian subcontinent. I was sure it was one of those dodgy telecom scams, so I just told him to shove off and hung up. Honestly, these scams are getting on my nerves big time.

Got a call from some automated voice saying my account had suspicious transactions. Sounded like one of those banking scams to me. They kept going on about unusual payments and stuff, trying to freak me out. Definitely a scam, so watch out!

Got a call saying £600 was charged to my mum’s credit card - problem is, she doesn’t even have one! We made sure she knows not to chat with these dodgy lot, so she just hung up. Not sure if it was someone on the line or just a robotic voice.

Sounds like a total scam to me. Some bloke with a dodgy English accent rang saying he was from Visa Security. He kept going on about suspicious charges on my Visa card but when I asked which bank he worked for, he said he wasn’t allowed to say and wasn’t from my bank. Then he asked if I noticed any fraudulent stuff on my account. I told him no, and then he just shut the call down. Dodgy as hell!

At first, the call seemed fine - weirdly enough, I was the one doing the asking and not the other way round. Then when he brought up direct debits, I asked why he needed to know that. Suddenly, he demanded I confirm the last 4 digits of my card. He claimed the service was to stop nuisance calls on my landlines. Once I refused to give him the details, his language turned foul, repeating the same rude phrase over and over. It was clear by then this was a scam and he was proper ticked off that I wasn’t falling for it. I’ve since gone ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from someone saying they were BT about illegal stuff going on with my internet. Since I don't even use BT, pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent claiming I'd get a refund from BT. I asked him what it was about since I’m not even a BT customer, and he just ended the call. Pretty sure it’s some kind of scam, so watch out!
